SibDays of Summer is a camp for children ages 6-12 who have siblings with disabilities. Training is required for volunteers, including Teen Sib Leaders planning to participate as a Group Leader, mentor, or junior camp counselor.
This training session is repeated on July 11 at 4:00 pm if you are unable to attend on July 12.
This is the ultimate adventure for ages 9-11. 4 days, 3 nights hiking, biking and camping. Guided by experienced Door County Adventure Center staff certified in education, ropes course, kayak, lifeguard, CPR and first aid. Siblings get to kick back and experience the freedom and thrill of adventure while sharing a great time with other Sibs who “get it”. Sleeping in yurts with beds.
** Camper brings their own bike.
Health and Consent Forms will be sent to you after Registration is received. Enrollment is complete once all paperwork and payment have been received.

This high energy day-camp for siblings ages 6-12 is held at Plamann Park just north of Appleton. Each day is packed with activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, hikes and hunts, games, carnival and playground fun. PLUS—siblings have the opportunity to share and celebrate the challenges and joys of being a sibling. We will have cruising through the week having fun with our 2022 theme “A World of PosSibilities”.
All campers start the first day at the Chris Brandt shelter. Older campers expand into their own shelter part of each day.

$45 per day* or $200 for all 5 days **
SibDays directors are trained WisconSibs Sibshop facilitators. Campers especially enjoy their teen and young adult small group leaders, many of whom also have siblings with special needs. Space is limited to 45 campers.

Plamann Park—1375 E Broadway Dr, Appleton: From
HWY 41, exit Ballard Rd., go north 2.2 miles, turn left on Broadway to park entrance. Follow signs to your WisconSibs event.
Come and go as you please and enjoy a cup of coffee, an icy beverage, or a delicious gelato before heading to the Children’s Parade starting at 6:00 pm.
Donations will be accepted.
Families can walk together. Wear a costume if you want, ride a human powered vehicle, or carry one of our signs. Whatever makes it fun for you.

Zip line, kayak, and stand-up paddle boarding are just a few of the adventures at Sib Camp .
Join this 4-day (3-night) camping adventure in Door County. Campers will have a blast experiencing either Door County parks. Campers bike** and hike each day to explore this outdoor adventure camp.
As always, swimming, camp cooking, campfires and talking with other Sibs means lots of fun!
Sib Camp is outfitted and guided by experienced DC Adventure Center staff. The camp session at Wagon Trail features yurt (beds) sleeping and is limited to 14 campers.

Best of all…a special Sibshop program for Sibs ages 6-12 takes place between 10:30-11:30 am while children with disabilities and their parents participate in a scavenger hunt through the Zoo. Sibs will be greeted by our Sibshop and Teen Leaders at the Education Center for this special presentation.

Nominations for the Sibling’s Choice Award recognizing caregivers, either family caregivers or paid professionals are due November 5, 2022. These awards are nominated BY SIBLINGS of people with disabilities and can be ANY AGE.
Selection Criteria:
-Nominated by an individual (any age) who is a brother or sister of a person with a disability.
-Nominations received after the deadline will be considered the next year.
-For teams or agencies, one person should be identified as a contact person and representation of the team.
-Cannot be self-nominated
-It is not required to be a resident of Outagamie County to nominate or be nominated.
