Siblings of people with disabilities who are 13-17 years old may apply to be selected as a Teen Sib Leader. Selected teens receive a free one-day leadership training session. This day is focused on personal leadership skills and having fun with other teen sibs. Teen Sib Leaders are then eligible to become counselors and mentors at SibDays of Summer and leaders at a variety of WisconSibs events and opportunities.
The event is being held on June 13, 2019 at Beaming, Inc in Neenah from 10 am – 3 pm. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.
Parents and children participate in free games and activities throughout the morning. Activities include crafts, finger painting, relay races, face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, martial arts, butterfly education, music entertainment and much more.
Entrance to the festival is free. However, if you and/or members of your family would like to participate in the group release of butterflies during the exciting climax of the event (at NOON) you will need to register to reserve and purchase your butterflies prior to the event.
Join the fun as a participant or as a volunteer. Contact us if you’d like to volunteer at the WisconSibs booth.

The Art of Racing in the Rain” starring Milo Ventimiglia and Amanda Seyfried. It is a heartfelt tale narrated by a witty and philosophical dog named Enzo (voiced by Kevin Costner). Through his bond with his owner, Denny Swift , an aspiring Formula One race car driver, Enzo has gained tremendous insight into the human condition and understands that the techniques needed on the racetrack can also be used to successfully navigate the journey of life.
We start off Sibshops in 2019-2020 with a fun morning at Beaming, Inc, a equine therapeutic facility. Normally Beaming focuses their expertise on child and adults with disabilities, but this morning will be just for kids ages 6-12 who have siblings with disabilities.
In order to participate, a Beaming Participation Form is REQUIRED which includes a signature and stamp from child’s physician. Click Beaming Sibshop Participation form.
One of the goals of Sibshops is to help young siblings be informed about disabilities. This Sibshop will help siblings be better informed about how horses can benefit people with disabilities and encourage positive results. Who knew learning could be so much fun?
Deadline to register is August 30, email [email protected] or register/pay online
