Kids growing up with sisters or brothers with mental health issues can get pretty isolated and even forgotten. Sometimes it feels like no one understands.
Like parents, they worry. They fear what they don’t know or understand. They are often quietly brave.
At Sibshops, sibs have a great time. They meet other kids who share many of the same feelings. They talk about the challenges and hear how other kids deal with things. They play. They get information. They make friends.
INTRODUCING – Sibshops for kids ages 8-14 growing up with siblings who have emotional or mental health conditions.
These Sibshops will be offered each month at the Catalpa Day Treatment Center. Kids can join in at any time during the series.
Thanks to the Women’s Fund of the Fox Valley Region these are FREE events but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
NOTE: A special parent session will be offered during the October 19th Sibshop.
